Peter McDermott is Managing Director and majority shareholder in Vintage Sport and Leisure Ltd (VSL), an Auckland based company that offers sport and lesiure events and travel in a range of sports. Peter has overseen the development of the company and its brands including Vintage Sports, Golden Oldies Sports and World Schools Challenges. The sports that are part of the brands include Rugby, Cricket, Softball, Golf, Field Hockey and Netball. VSL offers sports and event consulting service and Peter has carried out projects for Auckland Cricket Association, Wellington Cricket Association, Surf Life-saving Bay of Plenty, Auckland Warriors Rugby League, Auckland Rugby League and the Hillary Commission. VSL is a growing innovative company that has created, marketed and implemented sports events in Ireland, Argentina, USA, Australia, South Africa, Thailand, England, Barbados, Canada and New Zealand. Peter has served as Chairman of Auckland Cricket Association, New Zealand Cricket, Surf Lifesaving Bay of Plenty and as a committee member of Waitakere Regional Sports Trust, Bay of Plenty Regional Sports Trust and Eden Park Board of Control.
